Lucia Kilday, PMHNP
Hello and welcome. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Master’s from The George Washington University. I have advanced training in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). My background spans emergency medicine, sexual assault care (SANE), substance use, and eating disorder treatment—experiences that have shaped my deep respect for each person’s story.
I specialize in supporting parents, parents-to-be, and their partners through the ups and downs of pregnancy, postpartum, and family life. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum rage, birth trauma, loss, or the big identity shifts that come with parenthood, you deserve care that meets you where you are. My practice is inclusive and affirming for neurodivergent folks and all genders, and I embrace a Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy.
In sessions, you’ll find a collaborative, supportive space where your autonomy is honored. I’m solution-focused and passionate about helping you build new coping skills for lasting change. We’ll work together to find the minimal effective dose for medication. I believe in deprescribing whenever it’s safe and appropriate. Humor and time for honest expression are central to my work. I have additional training in Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP) for OCD, but I am not currently offering EXRP sessions.
I take a holistic view of mental health, blending evidence-based psychiatric care with lifestyle support—nutrition, joyful movement, sleep, mindfulness, labwork, and supplements, all tailored to your needs.
Outside of work, I’m a mom who finds joy in painting, thrifting, weightlifting, and gardening. I know how complex and transformative the journey into parenthood can be, and I’d be honored to support you through it.
